Returns Policy
"We’re all human – sometimes things go wrong – but we’re happy to set things right as quickly as possible."
On occasion, second hand items might have issues we've missed, hidden faults, or intermittent problems which only become apparent after a little while. It's all part and parcel of selling used, decades old equipment and we totally understand that.
We give 30 days guarantee (unless otherwise stated) from your receipt of the item to fully test and check all functions. If you do find yourself dissatisfied within this period, just let us know and you can return it for a refund replacement or a repair, depending on the item and what the way we can resolve the issue at any given moment.
Returning Used Equipment
- If you find an issue with your item during the guarantee period, please let us know as soon as possible by phone or email and we can start the return, repair or replacement procedure.
- Items must be returned to us within a timely manner. We ask that items be returned within 14 days of agreeing a return. Once the guarantee period ends we reserve the right to refuse a return, even if previously agreed.
- If you decide to send back an item by post, please include details in the package so we are up to speed when we open it.
- Once it's back with us we can assess the return and - based on your preference where possible - offer a replacement, repair or refund.

Damage and improper use
It is important to note that some cameras have their quirks and particular processes which must be followed and can be damaged due to improper use (for example, changing the shutter speed on a Zorki-4 before winding on). It is your responsibility to research an item before use and follow the recommended instructions. If you are unsure, please ask us and we can advise you.
We reserve the right to refuse a refund for any items returned misused, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise returned in a different condition to the original sale. Any and all accessories included with the purchase must also be returned.
Returns & Postage
We will refund, at our discretion, part of or all the return costs incurred if an item is incorrectly supplied or found to be faulty within 14 days of receipt.
We will provide an option for returning items to us, either as stated above or under warranty or any other approved reason for return, for which we will cover the cost.
If you wish to use a third-party courier or any other method of return, we cannot offer to cover the cost of this.
We unfortunately will not offer refunds on postage for returns from outside of the UK, and we will not refund postage for items bought in store and subsequently returned by post or courier.
If you choose to use any third-party postage methods which we have not supplied, arranged or otherwise offered to cover the cost of, items must be sent with full insurance for damage or loss. We are not responsible for resolving any delay, loss or damage claims through these third parties.
ITEMS DAMAGED OR MISSING ON DELIVERY
In the unlikely event that a parcel arrives to you damaged in transit or is missing contents, you must inform us within 7 days of the parcel arriving at the delivery address specified on the order. We cannot offer to refund, repair or replace any damaged or missing items reported to us after 7 days.
We strongly recommend that any third parties responsible for the acceptance or care of the package check the contents as soon as possible.
Partial Refunds / Store Credit
We do not offer a partial refunds, discounts on future purchases or store credit in lieu of a full refund. If you are not happy with goods received you must either return the goods to us in keeping with the terms outlined here or accept them for the price paid.
Non-fault returns
Unless expressly stated or otherwise agreed prior to purchase, buyers must cover all return costs on order cancellations for any reason apart from those stated above.
As we sell used equipment, it is also at our discretion to accept a return for items which have no faults or no other similar issues, such as if the buyer changes their mind about a purchase or if the item is incompatible with their other equipment.
At our discretion, Non-fault returns will incur a 15% restocking fee. We are not a rental service.
Order Cancellation Fee / Change of Heart
A 2% transaction fee will apply to any orders placed which are subsequently cancelled, changed or for any other reason not fulfilled before shipment at your request. Shopify does not refund us the transaction fee for processing payments, therefore any orders which are refunded or cancelled through no fault of our own will incur a 2% deduction from the refund.
For example; you place an order after a few beers and sober up the next day and wish to cancel - we'll deduct 2% of the total transaction price from your refund to cover our costs.
Returns from Outside of the UK
If you are returning an item from overseas, you must explicitly mark any goods sent back to us from outside the UK as a return on customs forms. In the event of this not being declared correctly, any outstanding customs duty will be deducted from your refund.
