West Yorkshire Cameras Staff Interviews: Steve Boylin

Postage Price Increases

Like Monty Python, we always like to look on the bright side of life – but sometimes we can’t overlook the bad news.

Due to recent price increases by Royal Mail, we have had to alter the costs of all our postage services. We have absorbed some of the cost but unfortunately we have had to raise postage prices. This has hit the smaller items particularly hard with a near double increase on our most frequently used service from £3.65 to £6.75 – however on larger and more expensive items it has actually become cheaper. We are working hard to keep these costs down, and in the near future we are hoping to benefit from high volume business rates.

If you’re from Yorkshire, or you’ve met a Yorkshireman, you’ll know that we don’t like to spend money unless we have to. To keep your purchase prices down we have added the option for UK customers to choose between first class and second class services. We are exploring options for international customers too. I hope all our customers will appreciate that this issue is out of our control and for the moment we just have to put up with it until we can source a more cost effective delivery service.

There is a silver lining in all this however – there is now even more incentive to come visit us in Huddersfield, and come see us when we move into a shop in a few months time.

As always, keep shooting (film!)
Nick and Tom.
